Do Soft Colours Bring You Joy?

March 16, 2015 by Wendy Woods Leave a Comment

Are soft colours your best? Find out here!

If you find joy in soft colours you probably have a wonderful way of balancing femininity and a strong drive to achieve (even if you don’t yet know it).

Soft colours can get quite close to gray sometimes, which means you may actually find it hard to find “colours” you like instead gravitating to gray. Often though if you look hard at these grays some of them will be more blue or green or purple, meaning they are actually colours.

If mixing all different shades of gray is your thing, the soft palette may be filled with colours you love.

Take a peak at the soft colours and traits listed below to see if you feel connected to the Soft colour palette.

You may be drawn to soft colours if you like colours that are:

neutral undertone (not really warm or cool)
medium depth
muted

Your favourite colours might be:

soft cranberry
soft salmon
muted forest green
soft blue-green
muted blue
muted aubergine
colours that remind you of a misty forest
colours that can get very close to gray

Go-to neutrals:

taupe
navy
ecru

Metal colours you’ll love:

white gold
yellow gold

You might have:

feminine looking skin
slightly pink natural cheek colour
low contrast features
eyes that are dusty looking (blue, green, blue-green usually)
medium brown or dark blonde hair
an appreciation for classic styles with a down-to-earth twist
a love for both gold and silver and mixing those metals together even

You might feel:

feminine
down-to-earth
goal-oriented

The easiest time for you to shop:

Although most of your favourite colours are available all year, you may find it easier to shop for them in the fall. Also, your favourite soft colours sometimes feel too soft in the brightness of the summer. If this is the case for you, try slightly brighter versions of you favourite colours in the summer.

Stores + designers you might love:

Banana Republic
Anthropologie
Chloe

Women you may connect with:

Jennifer Anniston
Kate Middleton
Rachel McAdams
